Welcome to Conner Street Elementary

We are located at 445 Conner Street in Hurricane, West Virginia. We have 387 outstanding students in grades pre-K through fifth. Our Principal is Ms. Kristi Barker. We have twenty-two amazing classroom teachers, six fantastic classroom aides, three exceptional custodians, two caring secretaries, and three wonderful cooks. Our school was built in 1966 and a new addition was added in 2013. We are fortunate to be a Leader in Me school. We believe in educating the whole child. We believe that all students can learn and that we can be successful at teaching all students. We welcome parent and community involvement because we believe that together we can achieve more. Please visit our website to learn about the exciting things happening at Conner Street Elementary School!

  • Working phone numbers:  PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PHONE NUMBERS IN THE OFFICE IF THEY HAVE CHANGED.  We must be able to reach you in the event of an emergency.  Thank you!

  • Morning Drop-Offs:  Please pull through the driveway and let Coach Ramsey (P.E. Teacher) open the doors to let your child out instead of parking in a spot (Unless you have a reason to park, sign in at the office, and enter the school). It is difficult to see all students when we have cars coming through the driveway and students coming out of parked cars at the same time.  We want all students to cross the school driveway safely, and this will help us be sure they can do so.  If you do have to park, please get out and walk your child across the driveway instead of sending them alone to cross in front of cars in the morning.
