Menus: Please visit the Putnam County Schools Website ( for lunch menu/additional information. A paper copy is also on the back of this newsletter. We also have a PCS app if you are interested in downloading it. The letters A, B, and C on the menu coordinate with which specials’ class your child will have that day (P.E., Library, or Music).

Free and Reduced Lunch Information:

All parents of students must complete a NEW meal application every school year to be awarded meal benefits.

This can be completed online at

or we can get you a paper copy to be filled out and returned to school. Let the office know, please.

Appointments and Sign-Outs:

Appointment sign-outs: Please schedule appointments after school if at all possible. If you must sign your child out, please do so before 2:00. No sign outs will be permitted after 2:00 because it causes chaos with dismissal. Thanks for your cooperation.

Morning Drop-Offs:

Starting tomorrow, 8/28, the only parents who will be permitted to walk students into the school in the morning are our Pre-K parents because they have to sign in daily with the teachers. Kindergarten-fifth graders need to enter the building on their own. We will make sure your children get to the correct spot daily. If possible, please pull through the drop off lane and stay in your vehicle, and Coach Cummings (PE Teacher) will open the door for your child. Make sure they are ready to get out. This makes for a smoother start for all. Note: the lane marked “Bus Lane” needs to be left open for buses from 7:10-7:30 daily (no cars).

Thanks! Ms. Barker, Principal

Cookie Dough/Mix Fundraiser:

On Thursday, 8/30, your children in K-5 will bring home information regarding our fall fundraiser. If you wish to participate, please follow the directions on the sheet included. If you do not wish to participate, please just dispose of the fundraiser information. We are hoping to raise money to purchase additional classroom materials and supplies and toward school beautification projects. Thanks for your help. We strive to only do one big fundraiser, and this is it. Collect payment at time of order, no sales tax. Thanks!
