Hello, Conner Street Families,

We normally try not to do fundraisers right on top of each other, but with the start of the new year we do have many things going on currently.

The School Store Fundraiser will be running all year long and you do not have to sell/buy anything. Simply sharing the fundraiser or using the site to do your regular online shopping earns your child points towards prizes and incentives/money for the school.

Class t-shirt orders were due today, but we will extend until Monday. If you need financial assistance with the shirt, please simply mark that on the sheet. Financial assistance will only cover ONE shirt for the student.

Back by popular demand, we will be starting the Pepperoni Rollers fundraiser next week. This year our amazing PTB organization will be running the event. Please look for information coming next week. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the Agriculture Bus that is a huge hit with the kids, as well as possibly future assemblies.

Finally, school pictures will be Thursday, September 24th. That information will be coming home soon. Make-up pictures are in November.

Have a great weekend!

Hello, Conner Street Families,

Next week our Archery coach position will be posted. It will be the third posting of the job. If it not filled this time, we will not be having an archery team this year. If you are interested in coaching archery, please give me a call or send me an email and we can discuss all the requirements.

There is no school on Monday, September 7th.

Class shirt orders are due Friday, September 11th.

Looking for a great place to work? Putnam County is currently looking for substitutes in almost all areas – secretaries, cooks, aides, custodians, bus drivers, and fully certified teachers. Check out the Putnam County Schools Page under Employment for more information – or give me a call.

Hello, Conner Street families. Well, we survived the first week! Morning drop off and afternoon pick have gone fairly well. Thank you to those of you that follow the proper route and procedures. Half of our PreK students will be starting Monday and half Tuesday. On those days will be allowing PreK parents to park and walk their students to the door, so there will be extra pedestrian traffic those days. On Wednesday, all parents will be expected to go through the drop off line. All students that ordered yearbooks, other than current 6th graders, have received their books. Sixth grade yearbooks will be delivered to the students at HMS by Ms. Audra next Friday. We do still have about 10 yearbooks still available for $30. Information for class shirts is coming home next week. Also, there is a PTB meeting on Monday at 3:00 pm. There is no school for students Monday, September 7th. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello, Conner Street Families, we have a ton of information on tonight‘s callout. Please bear with me.
• For those of you that are new to Conner Street, we generally do a call, text and post every Friday evening with information about upcoming events.
• The first day of school for students grades K-5 is this coming Monday. Students may be dropped off at school starting at 7:10 AM and the school day does start at 7:30 AM.
• Drop off will be very chaotic the first few days of school. Parents will need to stay in their vehicles. Also, please make sure to follow our traffic pattern. Last year we had several issues with parents not following directions and causing traffic backups that prevented our buses from exiting the circle. If you are dropping off medications, you make park to bring the medications.

• We will continue to have free breakfast and lunch for students this school year. Students who pack a lunch, are allowed to also have a school lunch.

• At dismissal, which is 2:30 pm, please follow our Pickup procedures. We load buses, then cars, and then dismiss walkers. Also, just a reminder to those parents who have students in grades three and below, they are unable to walk home or get off the bus by themselves. An adult must be there to get them, or they may be with an older sibling.
• School information forms are no longer online, those are coming home in the blue folders. Please return those as soon as possible.

Hello, Conner Street Families. Tomorrow night is our Open House from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. We only have limited parking at the school, but Forrest Burdette is just around the corner with plenty of parking. Please do not park/block the lanes in front of the school or our neighbors' driveways. Make sure to take pictures tomorrow, because we do not allow parents to park and walk in their students on the first day. It is a major safety concern due to cars and buses constantly pulling in.  We also will have yearbooks available for pick for those that ordered. We will have extras for sale. The price is $30.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night. Have a great evening.

Hello, Conner Street Families,

Our Annual Carnival will be tomorrow, Saturday March 14th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Admission is free; however, students will need to purchase tickets to play games. We will have raffle items and concessions available.

Our next Frozen Treat Sale is Thursday, March 19th. If your child is interested in purchasing, please send $1 on Thursday.

Kindergarten registration is Friday, March 20th. You must call to make an appointment and pick up the packet – please do not just show up that day.

Spring Break will be the week of March 30th. Students will return on April 6th.

Finally, we are starting to see an increase of issues with the 3D printed dragons. Several classrooms/grade levels have banned them completely. As of now, we do not have a schoolwide ban; however, that is a likely possibility. There is no need for 3D printed dragons that are over a few inches long to be brought to school. If you have questions about this, please give me a call.

Have a great weekend!
